Cassie's Journey with Breast Cancer (ILC)
Donation protected
On July 5 Cassie gave birth to our wonderful son Tadhg. The birth went very well but there were some complications afterwords that caused Cassie to have an emergency hysterectomy.
We are grateful that she was taken care of so quickly and was able to have a successful surgery.
After her surgery while being checked over by the lactation consultant, they noticed some discoloration and markings on Cassie’s left breast.
She was taken down to have a mammogram and ultrasound that day. What they saw from these tests had the doctors concerned and the following day she had a biopsy of the tissue.
On Monday, July 10th the biopsy came back positive for breast cancer.
Our journey starts as a family with a new son and a mom who is going to be fighting breast cancer.
We have seen in many ways God's work even in these times. From friends and family jumping in to take care of details to complete strangers praying for us and reaching out in very unexpected ways.
We are thankful for what love has been shown to our family. We would find it an honor if you would continue to pray for Cassie as she is starting down a road of healing and for our family as we will be walking with her.
