At this time, 1.5 million New Yorkers experience food insecurity where over 70,000 residents remain unhoused across the city. In East Flatbush specifically, a staggering 25% of our residents fall into this category. As community leaders, Environmental Hood Restoration and Feed The Streets NY have stepped up to drastically change these statistics. Together as 2 distinct 501 (c)(3)s, we are determined to forge a more resilient and prosperous community for every member of our boroughs, starting with Brooklyn and Manhattan.

The Need: 2023 has brought on collaboration and growth like we've never seen before. To accomodate the upward trajectory within both groups, we are determined to raise $10,000 with the purpose of increasing our mutual aid impact. To do so, we will use the funds to secure stable transportation for sourcing donations, completing food pick ups and providing safe and reliable transportation to the kids we may service.
