Eight Makerspace Tables for Putney Central School
Donation protected
No classroom in a school is as unique and exciting as the art room. An art room is both a production facility and a portal of creativity.
Exciting things are happening in our art department! We are elevating our traditional art room into a flexible multi-purpose art/makerspace. Makerspaces provide hands-on, creative ways to encourage students to design, experiment, build and invent as they deeply engage in art, engineering and tinkering.
Our makerspace will not be solely an art room, an engineering space, or a workshop, but it may contain elements found in all of these spaces.
At the heart of any good makerspace is the table. We are in need of replacing our old folding tables with rolling furniture that will maximize creative time while minimizing the amount of logistical preparation work and clean-up.
We have laid the groundwork for this project. We have skilled craftspeople on board to build the tables, lined up via a partnership with Brattleboro's HatchSpace, a non-profit community woodworking facility. We are now looking for your help to fund this exciting project.
Want to join me in making a difference? Any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this exciting project!
