Eileen Sheehan Recovery Fund

Donation protected
Our good friend and colleague Eileen Sheehan recently learned that she had a malignant tumor on her ovary and traveled to Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City where the tumor successfully was removed on Friday, January 26th and her prognosis is good. While Eileen has medical insurance through her employer, she will be out of work for approximately 2 months and does not have enough vacation or sick days to cover her regular payments and expenses during that time.

Eileen’s friends know her as one of the kindest, sweetest, most generous people you could ever meet. Now it’s our turn to show Eileen some love and provide her with financial support that will help her focus solely on her recovery without worrying about how her bills will be paid.

Whether you know Eileen through her work with the Community Beautification program at Cooperative Extension, as a landscape gardener, carpenter, occupational therapist, or perhaps through her interest in Ithaca’s music scene, here’s a chance to recognize your friendship with her in a meaningful way. Please give if you can, and include a message of encouragement for Eileen in her journey of recovery. We will post updates from Eileen here as she shares them.

This GoFundMe was organized by Sandy Repp, a former coworker, and all donations received will go directly to Eileen’s bank account. Thank you for your consideration!
