Eileen’s second chance at life

Hello my name is Emalata Ahovelo. My sister Eileen Vanisi, is fighting for her life.

Always faithful, a force to be reckoned with, a caretaker, an inspiration, and a friend to everyone, Eileen Vanisi, has given her heart to this world. Eileen is a repeat national champion and world-class athlete. She's now medically fragile as well.

After years of actively managing heart failure, Eileen's kidneys and liver now failing as well. And y'all know Eileen isn't taking this laying down. She's fighting like the warrior she is. She's long spent her days in dialysis. She now needs transplants for all three organs. Per usual, Eileen is working her way to the top of the list. The transplant list.

This past September she coded blue 4 times and was intubated. She was given no chance to live with her heart functioning at less than 10%.She fought for her life as we prayed to God to strengthen her heart, kidneys and liver so she can heal and wake up. The power of prayers had her up and moving. We spent one month in the hospital and one month in the rehab hospital where she was learning to walk again.

Eileens continuous journey has become more difficult and challenging. The medical care needed is continuously rising. She needs help to fulfill all her financial needs and cost of care as she awaits for possible transplant.
