Bildung für Massai Kinder in Lesoit

Hi, ich bin Maike, 41 Jahre alt und Mama von zwei Jungs. Seit 2016 reise ich nach Tansania und unterstütze das Maasai Dorf Lesoit, damit die Familien und die Kinder eine bessere Zukunft haben.

Dieses Jahr brauchen die Massai Kinder in Lesoit dringend Eure Hilfe! Juma, ein engagierter Massai Mann, kämpft seit zwei Jahren für den Bau eines Kindergartens im Massai Dorf Lesoit. Die frühkindliche Bildung ist der Start für eine bessere Zukunft der Massai Kinder und ihre Gemeinschaft. Wir möchten dieses Jahr im Juni/Juli mit dem Bau eines Kindergartens in Lesoit beginnen. Hierfür benötigen wir Eure Unterstützung!

Durch Eure Hilfe bekommen die Kinder aus dem Maasai Dorf eine Perspektive. Sie bekommen Zugang zu einer Welt, die ihnen mehr Möglichkeiten aufzeigt. Möglichkeiten, ihr Leben als Massai besser zu organisieren und trotzdem ihre Tradition zu bewahren. Sie sollen lernen, sich selbst zu helfen und nicht auf andere angewiesen sein zu müssen. Sie sollen ihr Leben selbst bestimmen und ihre Entscheidungen aus erster Hand treffen können. All das ist zu schaffen mit BILDUNG!

Juma ist ein Massai Mann aus Lesoit und engagiert sich seit 2020 intensiv für mehr Bildung im Massai Land. Grund hierfür ist, dass in den vergangenen Jahren aufgefallen ist, dass u.a. durch den Klimawandel immer mehr Tiere in der Trockenzeit sterben, die Lebensmittel teurer werden und Familien krank werden und sich keine Behandlung leisten können. Das traditionelle Massai-Leben ist stark betroffen und die Gemeinschaft weiß, dass sich in Zukunft etwas ändern muss, nachhaltig!

Nun stehen sie vor großen Herausforderungen, vor allem im Bildungsbereich. Die mangelnde Zugänglichkeit zu Bildungseinrichtungen und die begrenzten Ressourcen haben zur Folge, dass viele Kinder, insbesondere im Vorschulalter, keinen Zugang zu qualitativ hochwertiger Bildung haben. Ein Kindergarten in der Gemeinde Lesoit würde den Massai-Kindern die Möglichkeit bieten, frühkindliche Bildung zu erhalten und ihre schulische Laufbahn zu beginnen. Außerdem wird er dazu beitragen, die Lebenssituation der Massai-Gemeinschaft nachhaltig zu fördern, damit sie die Herausforderungen mit den nötigen Anpassungsstrategien angehen können.

Wenn sie jetzt nicht handeln, wird ihre Tradition immer mehr verschwinden und somit auch ein ganz wundervolles und einzigartiges Volk!

Durch die Schaffung eines Kindergartens wird Bildung zu einer Schlüsselkomponente für die zukünftige Entwicklung und die Aufrechterhaltung der kulturellen Identität der Massai.

Für den Bau des Kindergartens bis zur Fertigstellung benötigen wir circa sechs- acht Monate. Wir möchten im Juli/August 2024 mit dem Bau beginnen.

Hi, I am Maike, 41 years old and mom of two boys. I have been traveling to Tanzania since 2016 to support the Maasai village Lesoit so that the families and children can have a better future.

The Maasai are struggling to maintain their cultural identity.

This year, the Maasai children in Lesoit urgently need your help! Juma, a dedicated Maasai man, has been fighting for two years to build a kindergarten in the Maasai village of Lesoit. Early childhood education is the start of a better future for the Maasai children and their community. We would like to start building a kindergarten in Lesoit this year in June/July. We need your support for this!

Your help will give the children from the Maasai village a perspective. They will have access to a world that offers them more opportunities. Opportunities to better organize their lives as Maasai and still preserve their traditions. They should learn to help themselves and not be dependent on others. They should be able to determine their own lives and make their own decisions. All this can be achieved with EDUCATION!

Juma is a Maasai man from Lesoit and has been working intensively for more education in Maasai land since 2020, because in recent years it has become apparent that, among other things, climate change is causing more and more animals to die in the dry season, food is becoming more expensive, families are falling ill and there is no way to afford treatment. Traditional Maasai life has been severely affected and the community knows that something has to change in the future, sustainably!

They are now facing major challenges, especially in the area of education. The lack of accessibility to educational facilities and limited resources mean that many children, especially those of pre-school age, do not have access to quality education. A kindergarten in the Lesoit community would provide the Maasai children with the opportunity to receive early childhood education and start their school career. It will also help to sustainably promote the livelihoods of the Maasai community so that they can address the challenges with the necessary adaptation strategies.

If they do not act now, their tradition will continue to disappear and with it a wonderful and unique people!

By creating a kindergarten, education becomes a key component for the future development and maintenance of the cultural identity of the Maasai.

We need about six to eight months to build the kindergarten until completion. We would like to start construction in June/July 2024.
