Eithne Walls Research Fund 2024 Mini Marathon
Donation protected
On the poignant anniversary of June 1st, 2024, we will commemorate 15 years since the world was robbed of the bright light that was Dr. Eithne Walls, along with her dear friends and classmates, Dr. Jane Deasy and Dr. Aisling Butler, in the Air France AF447 disaster.
Eithne, who was a Senior House Officer in Ophthalmology at the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital, left behind a legacy that continues to inspire and make a difference through the Eithne Walls Research Fund.
The VHI Dublin Mini Marathon has become a cornerstone event for the Eithne Walls Research Fund, with 2024 marking the 15th consecutive participation by Eithne's family, friends and colleagues. With each step they take through the historic streets of Dublin, they honor Eithne's memory and dedication to her field. This event is not just a 10k; it's a journey of remembrance, a testament to enduring friendship, and a beacon of hope for the future of medical research.
On Sunday 2nd June over 25 people will be taking part together, raising funds and remembering Eithne, Jane and Aisling.
