Help keep Kenzuo alive!

Kenzuo joined our family when he was 8 weeks old. The moment I saw him with my children I knew he was a perfect fit. Like all chins he has an wonderful temperament, However Kenzuo didn’t seem to play quite like a normal puppy. I took him into the vet and they graded him a grade 5 heart murmur. Recently they conducted an ecg , x-ray and sedated exam and they informed me he has PDA (patent ductus arteriosis) which means his large blood vessels failed to close at birth. He has a mortality rate of less than 50% by the age of 1 year... He's only 6 months! I wouldn't think twice about having surgery done, however it is 4 thousand dollars. I'm a single mom of two of my own and two foster girls. I have opened my arms to so many others that at this time in my life I cannot afford the surgery on my own . I have contacted the breeder, all she can offer is a replacement 5 year old female... This does not help Kenzuo and I declined her offer. We do not give up or exchange family members. Please share and help if you are able... Every little bit helps!
