Hello, my name is Alan. I am a 58 year old gentleman that has cerebral palsy since birth. I'm finding it hard to operate my chair now. I'm the type of person who doesn't like to stay home ( my home is a long term care ward in a hospital ), so me getting out and about for the day is essential to my mental and spiritual well being. However, I am finding it difficult to operate my wheelchair as I said above, which would leave me no options except to stay home in bed every day, which would shorten my life significantly. Not to mention my reason for getting up each day, as going downtown is my main activity.
