A beloved family business in our community needs our help.
El Dorado Bakery, a local family owned Latinx bakery in Burlington had a fire accident over the weekend. Thankfully, no one was hurt as the fire happened in the middle of the night when no one was there. Unfortunately, the business is currently closed due to the damages caused by the fire.
We ask you to show love and support to this family in their time of need. They have poured almost 20 years of their lives into this business. El Dorado is the preferred bakery by the Latinx community, and they distribute bread and tortillas around the county to other businesses. It’s important to help them get back on their feet as soon as possible so they can also support the other businesses and workers that depend on this business.
The damages caused by the fire and the merchandise and equipment loss in the fire are estimated to be $25,000. This is a large amount to cover for a small local business, especially as we continue to face the challenges posed by COVID-19.
We invite the community to support the family by making a donation that will help the business continue being a cornerstone of our community.
The funds raised by this page will go directly to the family. These funds will go towards fixing the electrical wiring damaged, restoring the storefront damage, and cover the cost of all of the merchandise lost in the fire.
