We just hit our one year anniversary a couple days ago and are amazed at what El Garage has grown into!
Muchisimas gracias to everyone that comes to our Pop Ups and shows our family support time after time!
We have anxiously been wanting to open the space up to bring the fun El Garage Pop Up experience to life as much as you all are anticipating it! Ya estamos bien listos! Perooooooo, we need money. We have been working hard to get it open and have done what we can to get funded. It was a bit tough looking for loans since we didn't have any prior official business records, I guess working from your own garage and having guests eat in your driveway doesnt count as official haha, but we were able to secure a loan, unfortunately though it will not be enough for all costs.
We have poured all of our money into this and can't wait for this great neighborhood experience to open up already. No ibamos a hacer un Go Fund Me and we were going to try to raise some money ourselves but it has been a bit difficult. We have tried doing more pop ups but some people have been calling all the city health departments at the cities that we are scheduled to have pop ups in and getting us shut down and forcing us to cancel before the date of the pop ups. Can y’all say haters!!! Anyways that hasn’t stopped us yet but has caused us to not have as many pop ups. Once the restaurant is ready to go we will still continue to do pop ups but need to open our restaurant up ASAP.
So what is this all leading to…
The El Garage family is reaching out to all of you who read this for some help! Help us open this baby up already! We haven’t gone much into detail of what’s to anticipate with the opening of El Garage because we’ve been a bit busy but hey get ready for some SPOILER ALERTS!! (Whoooo can’t believe we are saying this! Only a year ago this was all a dream!) Imagine this, a cool El Garage concept restaurant with all the things inside done by us its a 5,000sq ft place imagine it with the best music bumping pa’ bailar, an arcade to take turns on while y’all wait in line and most importantly some of The Best Mexican Street Food around is whats coming your way! If these funds are collected we will be scheduling the opening and setting the date for the grand opening. Later on this year we are also planning on putting in a tap for all your cerveza needs!
