After 19 months of mandates a group of parents within El Paso Gridley Unit 11 has sought legal counsel in order to protect the parental rights of the children in the district.

 

We are paying a flat fee of $5,324.00 in order to join the class action lawsuit filed by Tom DeVore against Governor J.B. Pritzker, ISBE, and others in regards to mandates. The lawsuit will protect ALL families within the district from the illegal mandates.

We NEED YOU to stand with us and you can do so anonymously! The case has already been filed and the eight families have already been named. But now we need your financial support. Please help us offset the cost of this case that will ultimately protect EVERY child within our school district.

- While eight families ultimately had to file to include our district in this class action case, EVERY single child will benefit when the case is won.
- This case is about giving every parent and every child the right to CHOOSE what goes on and in their bodies.
- Nothing we’re doing affects a parent’s or child’s right and ability to wear a mask, if they choose that is best, but what it will do is give EVERYONE a CHOICE.

Many brave superintendents and districts, like ours, have been trying to advocate for local control which would allow for choice however our Governor, ISBE and IDPH continue to find a way to offset their efforts. This case will take our district out of the middle, allow them to focus on educating our children and allow the law to protect us in the manner it was designed and intended.
