Bara El Shaer Family Survival Fund

Hi! my name is Emily Miller and I have opened a fund for my friend Bara Belal Deeb El Shaer so that she can support her family during a very difficult time.

Bara is one of my best friends. We talk every single day. Over the past few months she's experienced something very traumatic. I'll tell you about her life and then about how she currently is living.

Bara was born and raised in Khan Younis, Gaza. Her father is Belal El Shaer (55, born 6/5/1969). Her mother is Munira El Shaer (54, born 5/28/1970). Bara is one of five siblings, she is the oldest, born on August 22, 1998. Her younger siblings are Bahaa (29, born 6/6/1996), Hilal (17, born 7/21/2007), Rahaf (15, born 6/15/2009), and Mahmoud (13, born 11/21/2011).

She attended Akka high school, and went on to study at Al Aqsa University. There, she majored in Arabic and English languages. Bara has an interest in makeup. Before the war, she was earning money by doing makeup for friends and family for events. She had a cat named Apricot, and life for her was very lovely.

When the war broke out, the area Bara lived in remained untouched for a while. Then on April 1st, 2024, her home was destroyed by a bomb. Apricot did not make it, but everyone in her family survived. Since losing their home, her family has been displaced 5 times. They currently live in a tent together, in Al Mawasi.

The purpose of this fund is to provide a way for the El Shaer family to afford food, water, medical needs, and clothing. Gaza is the most expensive place to live on earth, right now. The families living in Gaza do not have a way to earn money or to work, and cannot provide for themselves without your donations and support.

Funds will close to me, and will be sent to Bara by IBAN transfers.
