Elaboración de un Jardín Medicinal

Hello! My name is Victor Huinga! I am a wildlife and forest guide from Puerto Maldonado, in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest. As we all know, the Covid-19 pandemic has taken the lives and livelihoods of many of our friends and family. It has been especially hard on communities in the Amazon and in this part of Peru. The tourism industry that supports me, my family, and many people in my community has been completely closed down for almost a year. The government has not provided much support to us here. My family and I have lost very close friends to the pandemic due to lack of medicine, health care, and food. Feeling and seeing this has been very hard for me, my family, and our community. We have the blessed luck to be able to tell you about what is happening here because we were able to survive with the help of friends, and I hope to pass this good on to my community. So, I write to you with my heart in my hand! Please help me to help my community. I have land here and I have studied and know how to grow medicinal plants from the jungle. I am now developing a medicinal garden to help support my community here while we have little access to other medical help. I will plant 4-5 species that can treat respiratory and other symptoms including those related to covid and other diseases to support our community. What I need is the capital to expand the garden and be able to provide the medicines to people with little or no income. The project can happen quickly! It takes two months for planting and 9-12 months to process the plants. I am hoping to raise $4000 (USD) to be able to expand the garden. In addition, all this will also help to continue conserving nature here in Puerto Maldonado, in the Amazon, which is the lung of the world. I thank each one of you who reads this message and God bless you! If at any time our paths cross or you visit Maldonado, Peru, I will be waiting for you with great pleasure and we will walk through the medicinal garden!!!
