Support Elaine and Tyler After Eaton Fire

Elaine and Tyler here. We lost our home during the Eaton fire. Our entire neighborhood is gone, and much of the town of Altadena. We were first time home buyers, and we had already grown to love everything about Altadena. But one of the beautiful things to come out of this tragedy is how much the community has rallied together - those in Altadena, those in other parts of Los Angeles, and those online and around the world. If you're reading this GoFundMe page, you're part of that support, and we thank you for it.

We had a previous GFM that was organized by someone else. That person no longer can manage it, so we are starting our own. But we wanted to share that we have raised $55,182 from 489 supporters. We opened this new account simply because friends of ours continue to reach out to ask how they can donate.

We consider ourselves fortunate, even though this situation is extremely hard. We have insurance and we are applying for FEMA and an SBA loan, and all the other things that come with dealing with this aftermath. Unfortunately, this type of catastrophe is expensive, and we know that those organizations will not cover our full financial loss. The money from GFM is to be used for all the things that are not covered by those organizations or insurance.
