Hope for Elaine

Hi, my name is Allison, and I am one of Elaine’s 7 children. Recently, our mother paid a visit to the emergency room for severe body pain, and after multiple tests and scans, doctors discovered that she has cancer. All that we know so far is that she has cancer in her liver, as well as some spots in her lungs. Being that the cancer has spread, it proves that this is a more advanced stage she is in. Tomorrow, 7/20/22, our mom will be sent home from the hospital to rest and heal up, as she will be scheduled for an oncology appointment, to determine where the cancer started, and what the next steps are. She has been given a port where eventually she will receive chemotherapy through.

Elaine is a 67 year old woman who has dedicated her life to helping others. 5 of her 7 children have been adopted, including myself. We have all spent our lives watching our mother be SO incredibly strong, independent, and so full of love for her family. This is our time to take care of her, and help save her as she has saved each and every one of us. We will not stop fighting for our mom. She was working part time and will no longer be able to do so. With the costs of the necessary treatments to fight this horrible disease, it will be impossible for us to raise enough funds ourselves. We have been struggling to pay her bills as it is, in order for Elaine to keep her home.

Our mother is the strongest person we know, and she has so much pride that would absolutely hate this, as she doesn’t want to be “a burden” or having to interfere with anyone’s lives, including her own children. We understand that not everyone is in a place to donate, but we plead that if you can spare even a few dollars, it will make a huge difference. We will appreciate anything, whole heartedly.
