Elan's Research Needs Your Support

Hello All,

They say it takes a village to raise a child so not one to ask for help but HELP !!

Our Daughter Elan was planning to present her hard earned research study:

“Feeling Stressed ? The Impact of Benevolent Sexism Experiences on Workplace Outcomes” at the SOCIETY for INDUSTRIAL and ORGANIZATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY (SIOP) annual conference this April in Denver and all funding and grant money was pulled leaving her unable to attend and present her research on a larger scale and leaving her working for free as a TA for lower division undergrad and a Lead Research Assistant. She is Graduating this spring with a B.S. in Psychology Summa Cum Laude at Sac State and recently got accepted into grad school in the Industrial Organizational Masters Program at Sacramento State; this is a huge accomplishment for her since she started out struggling in high school and community college, almost to the point of failing out because she felt lost, unmotivated, and like she didn’t fit in.

I would really Love for her to be able to have this opportunity to present as an undergraduate on a national scale her research and get the experience and exposure especially since her research and the feedback she would get from presenting at the conference would allow her to successfully continue and expand her research in Graduate school. If we were not blind sided by the last minute withdrawal of University funding and Grant monies for her work and the conference, and being already waist deep in student loans, medical bills, and surviving in California we could probably help her out more financially with attending the conference. I am hoping that maybe our community will lend a helping hand and make a Ginger’s Dream Come True
