Elderly couple lost it all in fire

Lois & Stewart (Sparkie) Sakers, formerly of Tinicum Township Delaware County, lost their home in Millsboro Delaware on March 16th 2021.
In the early morning hours of Tuesday there was a malfunction in the heating system, causing the fire which quickly spread throughout the home. Unforgivable thank you to the swift actions of their neighbors, both Lois and Sparkie were lucky to escape unharmed.
They are both displaced at this time while family is working through this process and figuring out what the next plan of action is and what the future holds.
Unfortunately their home is not covered under insurance, and is considered a total loss.
Special THANK YOU to the brave firefighters of Sussex County for making sure the fire was contained quickly. Thank you to their neighbors, especially Kelly for her courageous efforts in making sure everyone escaped safely!
