Elderly Survivor of Brutal Attack Needs Help

Hi, my name is Katie Pearson, and I am a bartender at Our Bar in St. Petersburg, FL. I'm starting a GoFundMe for my patron and friend, John Budenas.

John, age 79, is the sole survivor of a vicious assault. As John was walking home on the night of October 20th, two men attacked him with a tire iron.

He survived the attack but is still unable to work due to the severity of the injuries.

He sustained two broken ribs, a broken right ulna and radius, and shattered right hand, and might lose his left index finger.

The same two men that attacked John went on to kill another man within hours.

John knows how lucky he is to be alive and feels terrible for the other victim and their family.

This random attack has left John unable to support himself. While John has reservations about accepting charity, after much pleading, he has agreed to me posting a GoFundMe on his behalf. John has no surviving family to turn to in this time of hardship. We are basically hoping for the kindness of strangers to help him out during these difficult times.
