Himalayan Elders Annual Picnic Fund 2022
Our seniors can finally have their beloved and much-deserved annual picnic after the hiatus of 2 years because of Covid-19. Your contribution today, either from you or in memory of someone, will directly help make our 9th annual picnic happen. The 4 days picnic is held at the Palyul Retreat Center in McDonough, NY, and is a much-awaited event for our seniors. The picnic is supported by about 20 volunteers including Registered Nurses, Professional cooks, entertainers, care providers, drivers, etc.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our fundraiser!
Himalayan Elders Project (HEP) started with an elders picnic in 2012 and has since grown into one of the largest active non-profits in Queens, NY. The organization takes care of more than 100 seniors from the Himalayan region living in the New York area. HEP operates from Mon-Wed every week in Jackson Heights, Queens, and conducts Yoga, Light-Exercise, Devotional, Walkers Group, Tibetan and English classes, and several other activities without any fees. The organization is entirely funded by individual community donors like you.
The picnic directly helps our seniors in their physical and mental well-being and is the core of our program. The funds collected here will pay for 4 days of chartered busses, meals, cooks, van rentals, gas, etc.
Your contributions will help us start booking vendors and transportation asap. Since Himalayan Elders Project is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization; all donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. We'd be happy to provide receipts for tax purposes, please let us know how to send them to you.
The use and oversight of the funds will be documented and made public on this page.
