Elect Aidan Farrelly to Dáil Éireann

Hi everyone,

I’m running for election to the 34th Dáil as the Social Democrats candidate for Kildare North – and I need your support.

I'm married with three children, and I have been a professional youth and community development worker in projects in Kildare for 16 years in Naas, Clane, Kilcock, Leixlip, Celbridge, Straffan and Prosperous.

As a county councillor since 2019 my priorities have been primarily focussed on public transport, road safety, community based services and the delivery of social and affordable housing.

The Irish Parliament, Dáil Éireann, needs more Social Democrats working to make life better for all of our citizens. For too long the old way of doing things has led to crisis after crisis in healthcare, housing, childcare and more.

The Social Democrats want to see the immediate implementation of a single tier healthcare system. We are the party most involved with the push for Sláintecare. We want to ensure there is no need for people to take out private health insurance for basic care, and no high costs to see a GP.
