Elect Cllr Eoin Ó Broin to Dáil Éireann

I’m running for election to the 34th Dáil as the Social Democrats candidate for Dublin Mid West – and I need your support. Tá tacaíocht uaim an toghacán a bhuachaint!

The Irish Parliament, Dáil Éireann, needs more Social Democrats working to make life better for all of our citizens. For too long the old way of doing things has led to crisis after crisis in healthcare, housing, childcare and biodiversity. The Republic of Ireland can do better.

The Social Democrats want to see the immediate implementation of a single tier healthcare system. We are the party most involved with the push for Sláintecare. We want to ensure there is no need for people to take out private health insurance for basic care, and no high costs to see a GP. I've seen this system in action in Sweden and know we can make it work here.

As a county councillor since 2019 I've shown that I can deliver change, for example the new bus route, the 60, that links Palmerstown Woods to Clondalkin Village, the LUAS and the City. I have also made many planning observations and am not afraid to stand up for good quality building and design. I've supported numerous music, arts and community projects as well.

Prior to local politics I have worked as an engineer, and also engaged in community, environmental and political activism in Ireland, France and Sweden.

In order to reach every voter across Dublin Mid West, I am going to need your help.

- €10 will help me pay for an ad on social media

- €50 will help me pay for five election posters

- €100 will help me buy 2,000 leaflets

Donations can only be accepted from residents of the Republic of Ireland, or Irish citizens abroad. I cannot accept donations over €1,000 from one person and cannot take an anonymous donation of over €100. I may have to contact you after your donation to confirm details.
