Elect Randy Roberson Gila County Dist 2 Supervisor

Donation protected
Randy Roberson is an Arizona native who has called Gila County home for nearly a half century. His involvement in news/talk media (Cable TV, Radio and Newspaper) has maintained focus on Gila County from the north, through the south.
As a past Board Member of the Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Payson Economic Development Corporation and as a business owner in Gila County, Randy has decades of experience in what has worked and what has worked against our county.
As Past President of the Gila County Sheriff’s Posse (Search & Rescue), a Hospice Chaplain, over 25 years of disaster and humanitarian aid work (an effort that has taken him to 36 countries), and as a contractor to the US Army for Disaster Response exercises, Randy has a long sustained, demonstrated focus on serving others.
He first interfaced with Forest Service Hot Shot and other firefighter teams tell the story of the firefighters lost in the 1990 Dude Fire and has reported on many dozens of fires since. Bottom line: Randy knows well the challenges we in Gila County face, but he also brings an experienced focus on effective preparedness and response.
His past advocacy work led Randy to volunteer to produce a video production which he showed during his advocacy efforts at the Arizona State Senate. This was done to call for the building of a bridge over Tonto Creek in Tonto Basin. This, following 25 years of reporting on the air regarding drownings by people crossing the normally dry creek bed that seasonally becomes a raging river. That bridge is now currently scheduled for construction completion in the Spring of 2023.
Randy holds a Secret Security Clearance with the Department of Defense. He has attended meetings at the Pentagon in Virginia and NATO Headquarters in Brussels. His mentor Dr. Larry Ward was named White House Ambassador to the Hunger World by then-president Ronald Reagan. High level meetings are nothing new to Randy, yet he is approachable and has a history of listening to ALL residents of Gila County.
“I believe Gila County District 2 needs a more effective voice for its residents,” Roberson said. “My experience and communications history enable me to provide that effective voice.”
