Electric fire left my family homeless

Hello friends and strangers. My name is Tai Booker. I lived with my family of 6 and puppy at Barnegat Motel. For the last 4 years we've payed $2016.00 a month to stay here. On 1/03/2022 during a snow storm someone who works for Barnegat township hit the power pole in front of my building causing an electric surge to shoot threw my building and set all electronics on fire. The surge was so strong it knocked the entire building off the grid and took the heat, water, and electricity out. It immediately left me homeless at 9.00am that day. I have gotten no help seeing as this was a random event, and no offer of a temporary stay at the hotel until it's fixed, and it seems they will not be getting it fixed giving me no where to stay. I've had to stay at the holiday inn for the past week and it's been 244$ a day, 1708$ in a week alone and I can't save a down payment for a new place to keep this up. I am out of money as of Wednesday, and I've called redcross, social services, and even emailed our local government because his employee caused this. He told me and I quote" Sorry to hear that happened, but we have no money. You should go to whatever welfare has helped you stay there." Assuming I don't pay myself. Apparently I also make too much money for help even though I was suddenly put out without assistance which no one could plan for. I've lost my home, my electronics ( all of them caught on fire or were fried from the inside ) and I'm going in debt trying to keep a roof over my head. The 4000$ would help me with a month and a half of rent so I can continue paying on my own by my next check. Any help would be greatly appreciated so I can get my dog back home with my family and get myself back on my feet. It's been a terrible start to a new year,  and I could truly use any help anyone can offer. Thank you in advanced if you do . - Tai Booker.
