Elemental - A Video Project for the Environment
Donation protected
We are UpSpring Studio (an aerial dance studio) and Kundalika (a music group), based in the Washington metropolitan area. Together, we are working to create a performance about the effects of climate change on human lives. Kundalika's music features an innovative format called "global jugalbandi," a cross-cultural musical conversation between Indian classical melody and other musical traditions such as bluegrass, jazz, and Manding. This show also features new aerial choreography on trapeze, cloud swing, vertical fabric, and double sling.
Working with video producer IsItModern, we aim to produce a video version of our performance that can be shared with people no matter where they live. But we need your help!
Video production costs are expensive for tiny arts companies like ours. Every spare penny we have goes toward keeping our organizations alive, which doesn't leave much for extras. The only way to make this video project a reality is to fundraise.
This is where you come in. Any amount you can donate -- be it $5 or $500 -- will go toward making our video dreams come true. Donors will have an opportunity to preview the video before it is available to the public, so think about what you would spend to see a movie or performance with friends and family, and please consider donating that amount to our campaign.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We look forward to sharing our work with you soon!
