Support a School in Dilla, Somalia

Over 2 years ago, a member of my family came across a video online of a young school teacher in Somalia who had taken to educating children under a tree in order to provide them with access to education.  In this region, unfortunately there was no elementary/intermediate school for children to attend. Since coming across that video we have been raising money to build a school in that part of  Dilla, Somalia. In the last two years we've been able to build an elementary school for kids in grades 1-6 with four classrooms, hire 4 full time teachers for 120+ students, and a guard who watches over the school. This is a school which is open to the entire community of Dilla. We also send funds monthly to cover the teachers wages, watchmen wages, maintenance bills (water and electricity), which totals to around $750 USD.

During these uncertain times, we could use the assistance of those in our community in order to help continue to support this school and ensure that these children are provided with a safe and accessible education. This money will solely be going to the school in order to cover the costs listed above. We will also be providing updates on how the money is being utilized along with receipts. Education is an integral part of our deen, so anything helps. Even if you are unable to donate, a share, a post or a small duaa is just as much needed.
