Element's oral surgery

Donation protected
Late at night on November 24, I noticed that our cat Element was pawing at her mouth in distress. On closer inspection, she had blood on her paw. I rushed her to the emergency vet. It turned out her mouth was in bad shape; she's an FIV cat, and they're particularly susceptible to mouth infections. One of her teeth had partially broken and was jabbing her every time she tried to close her mouth.

Element is out of immediate distress, and has antibiotics and painkillers. But she needs at least two surgeries to fix the problems with her mouth. The first surgery is scheduled for mid-January. Other than her mouth she's in excellent health - so much so that the vet told me "I expected her tests to show something abnormal, but no!"

I've already spent over $1000 on her vet visits and a deposit for the first surgery, and as a result my finances are extremely strained.

I've set the initial goal of this fundraiser for $2000. That should just about cover the prior expenses and first surgery (I don't know what the second one will cost). Anything over the goal will help pay for the second surgery.

Any help would really be appreciated. Whether or not you can contribute, it'd be great if you helped spread the word. Thank you so much!
