Elena Espinosa’s Cancer treatment

Hello, I am 19 years old, and I am raising funds for my cancer treatment because it isn't covered by the NHS. 

In 2020 I had two operations to remove my ovarian germ cell cancer. In 2021, while studying medicine at the University of Edinburgh, it came back as a tumour in my chest with traces of PNET. PNET is a rare and highly aggressive form of tumour. There is such little research on how to cure this type of tumour that the immunotherapy (Pembrolizumab) that I’m receiving every three weeks isn’t covered by the NHS.

In the hope of curing my cancer, my family and I are raising funds for specialist treatment and new medicines until I get the ‘all-clear’!
