Elena’s breast cancer battle

Elena is a single mother of 10 year old Leah. She also provides for her elderly mother who lives with her. A month ago, she was diagnosed with a malignant breast cancer tumor that has spread to her lymph nodes. She will be getting surgery to remove her breast, and lymph node. Additionally, she will have to undergo chemotherapy.

As the sole provider for her daughter and mom, she will be out of work while recovering and thus unable to continue her work of cleaning homes for an income.
