Elevated Earth
Hi Everyone! We hope you are all well and safe in these chaotic times.
We have made some improvements to our facility and are reaching out to our supporters to help us achieve our goals.
We removed all of the walls from the 3rd and 4th floor to increase the open space to grow more vegetables. We are trying to upgrade our roof with recycled steel to increase our growing capacity as well as make upgrades and repairs to our elevator which hasn't worked in a few years, making it difficult to get supplies to the upper levels. We have licensed elevator techs assessing the situation so we can continue to expand. We also need to replace the roof with a steel structure so we can harvest the rainwater to feed our plants. Our goal is to become a self sustaining operation by utilizing rain water catchment systems and anaerobic digesters to make natural gas.
The next step is to add solar panels and vertical axis wind turbines on the roof for renewable power sources.
We started a full garden inside and even added microgreens to our operation to provide nutrient dense vegetables and greens to our neighboring communities during the winter when fresh produce is difficult to come by.
