Elfarrow Earthquake Relief Fund
Donation protected
My name is Kyley Blomquist and I am the designer/producer and shop owner of Elfarrow Apparel. I have been traveling to Nepal for over 10 years through work and play and have established a facility there where our incredible team and partners produce Elfarrow clothing. Since the first earthquake hit Kathmandu, we were instantly in a unique position to help the people as our factory ground, tin out-buildings and 70 ft long printing tables offered an open and safe site for over 200 people from within and around our community. I began this campaign to raise money to further build the community kitchen/relief station in the factory for those very people seeking refuge there. We surpassed our goal, established our relief station and began to buy more supplies, distribute and deliver them to the most desperate, remote villages that otherwise would not have received aid. All together we have distributed over 16000 pounds of food and medical supplies for over 2000 people.
Today another big quake hit Nepal. It has shaken souls and a whole lot more. People are forced back to live outside in only open areas for their own survival. There is now a huge shortage of tents for people seeking shelter and foreign relief by way of supplies are still having trouble entering the country. Our Elfarrow team has agreed to come together and produce as many tents as we can locally in our factory, free of charge but need some more help to purchase the fabric that is readily available in the market. We are now encouraging further donations for this project as it can immediately happen locally.
