Eli and Vickie Randall
Donation protected
Update: Eli lost his battle with COVID-19 last night at 6pm. Please keep Vickie, Zack, Brandon, Hannah, and Emily in your thoughts and prayers. If you are able, please consider donating to help with funeral costs and other bills during this difficult time.
Many of you may have heard that Vickie and Eli Randall both fell ill with COVID-19 a few weeks ago. After more than a week in the hospital, Vickie was able to return home but is still dependent on oxygen. She is focusing on recovering and regaining her strength. Vickie has been a teacher at Chicago Public Schools for 20 years. She is now tasked with trying to recover, herself, while worrying about Eli and keeping up with his daily progress.
Eli was admitted to the hospital the day after Vickie and remains in the Intensive Care Unit. He is currently on a ventilator and heavily sedated to allow his body time to rest. He has made small improvements and remains critically stable. Eli works for Pope and Young Club but his lengthy recovery will also prevent him from working for quite some time.
Vickie and Eli were graduates of Wauzeka High School, Wauzeka, WI, and chose to raise their family in Chicago, IL. They made many friendships while raising 4 active children. Both Vickie and Eli were very active in Boy Scout Troop #17 in Northfield, IL. They coached baseball and softball for many years at Portage and Dunham Park when the kids were growing up. The entire family enjoys outdoor activities.
They both have a long road to recovery ahead of them. With both of them needing hospital care, the bills are racking up quickly. In these times of uncertainty, their family is reaching out to ask for help in easing their financial burden during this difficult time. Please consider donating if you are able. If you are unable to give financially, please reach out with some words of encouragement and say an extra prayer for this family during their time of need. They are people that are always giving to others and now they need our help!
God Bless!
