Eliannie Kitten Season Call to Action!
Tax deductible
Eliannie Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabbing, and rehoming stray and surrendered cats in Lancaster County, PA. As I'm sure everyone is aware, it is smack in the middle of kitten season and oh BOY are we feeling it! As of today we have 47 animals in our care, each with their own unique needs. We are a foster based rescue, meaning we do not have a physical shelter and rely entirely on individuals in the community taking animals into their homes. If we have no one available to foster, we cannot take in more cats. We also rely solely on donations and have no additional source of funding. When the money is gone, so is our ability to help.
Here's a bit of insight into estimated costs associated with rescue work:
- $30 for 3 rounds of vaccines
- $15 for a microchip
- $15 for a rabies vaccine
- $85-$100 for spay/neuter
- $15 to test for common communicable diseases
- $50 for miscellaneous costs
You'll note none of this includes food, supplies, or litter, as that is also entirely provided by donations. It also doesn't account for emergencies - we fund that as necessary. With adoptions costing between $80 - $120 per cat, we're lucky if we break even. That's why we're reaching out for help in preparing for the upcoming deluge of medical care. As these kittens get older, they will need all of the services listed above. With some costing as little as $15, truly any amount donated is helpful. Heck, we'll name a vaccine after you! :)
There's also a lot going on in the world right now, and it all costs money. If you can't donate, please consider sharing! We will be keeping this GoFundMe up for as long as we continue to get donations, and as long as we need the help.
Thanks so much in advance. If you're curious to learn more (or maybe find a new friend?) check us out at Eliannie Animal Rescue .
A huge thanks to Pine Creek Animal Hospital, Lancaster CTC, and countless other volunteers and organizations that help us do this work.
