Elias’s Continued Fight Against Cancer

Hello, my name is Elias Brandt i’m 21 years old and I have Chondroblastic Osteosarcoma which is a rare and extremely aggressive bone cancer. I was diagnosed in April of 2023 and have been battling ever since. I recieved treatment at an amazing center in Mexico and had surgery in Sept. 2023 that removed the cancer in my shoulder. Unfortunately my bone had to be cut out and replaced with titanium and lots of my muscles were cut down which resulted in me having limited movement. In Feb 2024 I found out the cancer had metastasized to my lungs and we found a new, nickle sized tumor on the same arm. As of September 2024, the tumor is bigger than a football and my lungs are full. I’ve been told all care from here on out is palliative. While the tumor on my arm has made my arm nearly useless and comes with a lot of pain, I do believe I’m still here. I’m still alive. If that’s the case then there is time continue to try to stop the cancer. We have found a doctor who believes there is reason to try so we are driving two states away each week for treatments. All costs are out of pocket. We are also still pursuing amputation as the tumor is visibly growing weekly. My family and I so greatly appreciate the donations already made to help us. It has truly made a difference and is a huge blessing. Now I will to continue my fight and get more treatments and pray for good results.
