I started baking as just a hobby and to learn how to make my own money. My mom has always taught me to work for what I want because nothing is handed to you for free. Not knowing this knowledge was being given to me to prepare me for what there was to come. My mom ended up sick in the hospital for something very serious. I did not know if that would be the last time I would see her. After a number of surgeries, thankfully my mom survived. She was still in the hospital for a while and because of that she was unable to work.  I knew I had to step up to help support her and my younger sister. I remembered how much my mom taught me with baking so I decided to step up. I started grinding and baking daily so that I can go store to store to sell and raise money. Now that my mom is doing better I found a passion. I want to continue to help out as well as save money to better myself. My goal is to join the army as an engineer but I also want to go to culinary school. Please help me continue to work towards my goal.
