Elijah loved his family and friends
Donation protected
This Go Fund Me is to help the very loving family of 15 year old Elijah Gomez. Two days ago Elijah was walking home after school when he was unexpectedly shot and killed by an unknown person(s). It makes no sense why anyone would have wanted to hurt Elijah. He was a kind, respectful and friendly young person who cared about people.
There are no proper words to describe the pain of his family’s loss. Although Elijah was young, he was all about family, friends and community. He was equally passionate about cooking and good health. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed quality time with his friends. He even made his family’s Thanksgiving dinner and was known as being a master at making delicious pancakes!
Elijah cared about his community. He initiated providing community service, including cleaning up local parks. And he also helped his neighbors with different projects including yard work and moving things. Elijah also loved all animals. His pet cats are noticeably missing him already.
Elijah was athletic and enjoyed sports. He loved football! And he was on the Hamden High School football team. He also appreciated working out and pushing himself to reach his goals.
This past weekend Elijah was excited and planning ahead to get his first summer job. Overall, Elijah was a caring, respectful and private young person who had regard for others and who set positive goals.
No parent should ever have to worry about gun violence and that their child is unsafe walking home from school in their own community.
If you would like to help Elijah’s family through this tragic loss and very difficult time, donations of any amount will be greatly appreciated. The donations will assist Elijah’s family to get through funeral and burial expenses, as well as to receive care for their grief. Donations might also help to cover expenses that may be incurred to capture the perpetrator(s) as well as to help the community become safer from gun violence.
Please always remember Elijah. He was a fine young man who loved his family and who was a good friend and community member. He was looking forward to completing his goals and to making a difference in his future. No donation is too small. Any amount will be helpful. Thank you for your consideration.
