Elijah needs support after serious car accident

My dad Elijah David (Charlie, Chas) had a serious head on collision with a truck near his home on the 1st of October 2020. He was trapped in his vehicle for 40 minutes before the jaws of life were able to cut him free. He was then airlifted to Gold Coast hospital in a serious condition. He suffered swelling of the brain, multiple fractures to his spine, ribs and jaw, as well as a broken wrist and finger. He was put in an induced coma whilst doctors investigated his injuries. Dad took a lot longer than usual to wake up from the induced coma, and there were multiple complications resulting in four weeks in the Intensive Care Unit at Gold Coast University Hospital. Almost five weeks post accident, he is now in the regular ward at hospital recovering from his injuries. 

Our greatest concern is dad's living situation, as he lives on his own in a rental flat. He gets by on a government pension, living week to week. Sadly, he was priced out of the town that I and the rest of his family live in, and he now lives 45 mins away from us. The best case scenario is that we raise enough money to move him to a rental property close to the family so that he is less isolated and we can more easily provide him with care.  A rental property in our area costs $150 per week more than what he's currently paying. He's also going to need various support facilities post hospital discharge and if he's able to drive again, he'll need a new car as well.
