Elijah’s Neuroblastoma fight

Hi my name is Cassandra I've created this fundraiser to help my nephew an s his mum and dad

Sadly our beautiful Elijah Phoenix Michael Kirchen has relapsed with his cancer! He is complex and has stage L2 Neuroblastoma cancer. He had 2 rounds of chemotherapy as a baby and first 2 months of life in hospital with many tests, scans etc we came home in January and told he kicked cancers butt but we’re closely monitored travelling between country and the city for specialist appointments and routine check up scans. His mri in June showed changed and his migb the week later confirmed his cancer is active and growing pushing on his spine but hasn’t gone to the nerves affecting his legs and paralysing him like when born if left untreated it would and they may not be able to save his legs like last time. He has surgery for a permanent hickman line to be placed this week 8th August and starts chemotherapy next week. 2 bigger rounds and stronger chemo. We are devestated and heartbroken that his relapsed and has to suffer and fight for his life again when his only 8 months old almost 9 months. Elijah is the youngest to 4 boys so his older brothers Ryley, Cooper (special needs) and Xavier are all seperated and we continue to support them, our home, bills and survive in the city supporting ourselves aswell while going through treatment with Elijah. We will be travelling between Melbourne and rural vic where we live in Wangaratta to get my older brothers to come visit and stay as much as they can and to go home check house and dogs when can. We are very nervous and scared and not looking forward to our family to be seperated again but his fight is our fight and we will be with him every step of the way.

Why a go fund me? Sadly life and bills don’t stop when having a sick child. We still have normal bills, groceries, accomodation, parking, fuel, peadiatrician, medications, car costs, school costs, birthdays and preparing for Christmas and anything else that pops up and extra costs. We don’t like too ask for help or have people know we are struggling but we have no choice now we’re back in the position to start a go fund me to try and help our family while we’re all seperated trying to see the light at the end of this dark tunnel.
