Eliminating our Medical Debt: Greathouse 2024

Greetings to my friends and strangers who may see this page. I am Pastor Jeff and I am trying to raise money to eliminate our medical debt. We have great insurance that has allowed my wife to get the medical care that she has needed over the last few years. But we have high deductibles and out of pocket expenses and the bills have mounted and many are in medical debt collection.

If you notice the cover photo, it is my medical folder that I have created. In February of 2024, we had a balance of $23,213.87. This debt spans over nine medical collection agencies. I am paying them all monthly.

This month, I have made the monthly payments and the monthly total was $664.03. A few of them are $50 a month, a few of them are $100 a month and one of them is $158.17 (we had to enter into a 2-Year agreement).

In additional to the ones in collection, we have ones that are coming in and we pay directly to the doctor/hospital.

I have placed a loft goal of $20,000. Depending on how much and when the amount comes it, we will either (a) use the amount for the monthly payment or do the "snowball-method" and eliminate the small amounts and we will begin placing the amount we are paying to them to the larger accounts or (b) we will use the money to pay the monthly amount.
