Elio Gonzalez RIP

Hey everyone. As you all know my dad has been a few years on dialysis treatments due to kidney failure. He has been getting bad in the last year. Today he is in intensive care. If you know my dad, you know all his life he has been the life of the party. You would hear him talk a mile away and be like “theres elio”. He was always making everyone laugh, & he would give away everything and anything to people in need even if it meant for him to be without anything. Recently.. he is not the same dad i am used to seeing on a daily basis and the dad that i grew up with. He no longer is the “life of the party”. Before he talked so loud my eardrums hurt.. now, When my mom comes to my house to visit with him, he will just sit in the sofa and zone out. He barley talks anymore and when he does talk he does not make sense. He is losing his memory and im scared he is going to keep getting worse if he does not get the help he needs. Today he woke up and he couldn't walk or barely breath. My mom took him to his dialysis center thinking it might be a-lot of liquid built up in his body which his dialysis treatment helps temporarily take care of that problem. The nurses took his blood pressure and immediately called the ambulance. His blood pressure is really low under the normal. Now he is in intensive care at coral gables hospital. The dr is saying his Enzymes levels around his heart are really high and he is hooked up to oxygen. They are running alot of different tests & exams to see what the issue is. They are giving him medicine through an IV to get his blood pressure up. They also said which has been an ongoing issue that we already knew that his heart is too big for his body & that its working at a low percentage rate. I am making this godundme page today to help my dad and my mom in this difficult time. They both rely only on my dads disability income which is not much. I do help them alot financially every month with as much as i can, but now i am reaching out to my friends and family for help. They do not have money to put gas in the car or to buy food. This godundme will help cover their expenses at the hospital for the next couple of days & will help my mom take their car to the mechanic as they have been having alot of issues with it lately. I am asking you to please if you are not able to donate to please pray for my dad. I have faith that he will overcome this and that he will be better. But for now, please pray that his heart gets better and that the dr gives us good news. I will be updating as soon as i get news from the dr. Thank you guys in advance.

Tuesday may 16th update - 

GoodMorning everyone. My dad is still in the ICU unit. He is hooked up to oxygen & they are injecting his stomach with medicine to maintain his blood pressure higher. His blood pressure last night was 47/26, and his heart rate at 30. They put an iv with constant medicine to raise his blood pressure and it stays around 80/60 and blood rate 70. The cardiologist is going to see him today so i will keep everyone updated. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us. Thursday may 18th update-

Today my dad is still in ICU. Intensive care unit. He is going to be there for a few days… they are still trying to stabilize his blood pressure. They started today to lower the doses on the medicine they are giving him to keep his blood pressure up; in order to see if it stays up without the medicine. It hasnt been since he went into ICU..when they take off the medicine his blood pressure drops to scary levels. When i was there with him it dropped to 11….. I found out today that he has aortic stenosis which means his blood cant flow normally. The doctor says the dialysis are indeed effecting his heart. We are still waiting for more answers. Thank you to everyone who has reached out and who keep reaching out on a daily. It really means alot to us to know we have people we can count on emotionally. Thank you to everyone who continues to pray for my dad & who has donated. You guys really helped alot. My mom is staying in the unit with him so he is not alone. I will keep you guys updated
