Eliot Arts Magnet Dressing Room Improvements

Hi, my name is Dani Sanders and I am the costume design teacher here at Eliot.

As an arts magnet school, we are dedicated to exposing all of our students to the joys of visual and performing arts in a professional setting.

Part of creating that professional setting involves a functional, organized, and safe dressing room for our performing artists in dance, theater, music, and more. We are hoping to raise $1600 in order to create expanded storage for student belongings and costumes, hang a divider curtain to enable easier changing, and create an organized space for performers to store and organize their makeup.

Our expected costs are as follows:

1. Curtain wire ($15.99) to split the room in two and make changing into costumes a lot easier.

2. Support brackets for curtain wire ($4.99 * 5)

3. Curtains ($11.99 * 4)

4. Cube storage ($269 * 4) For personal items storage. Two will go to our backstage changing room, while two will go to our black box theater/drama classroom which is used as an additional changing room for our spring musical production.

5. Under-counter shelves ($29.99 * 4) To store performer makeup under vanities.

6. Plastic shoebox sized bins ($28.99 * 2) To go on shelves under vanities.

Total: $1342.89 (pre-tax)

Any amount helps us reach our goal! Any funds remaining after purchasing the items on this list will be used to cover additional improvements such as cleaning supplies, hanging mirrors, replacement light bulbs, and cosmetic improvements.
