HELP ELISA & CARTER’S STRUGGLE WITH INFERTILITY

Donation protected
Hi, we are Elisa and Carter, two Australians living in the U.S! We found each other in our late 30s and fell in love. The trials and tribulations we have been through together are too many to count. We are here to tell our story and ask for help.

We are creating a large puzzle of the photo you see above. Anyone who donates to our cause will have their name placed on the back of a puzzle piece. We will then frame it with glass both front and back. Our future child will be able to look at the back of the puzzle and see who contributed to their life! :)

But first, we need to tell you our story...

I (Elisa) have never been pregnant. Until 2021, I had an undetected uterine congenital abnormality that 2% of women are born with. I now know that this has deterred any pregnancy from occurring. Luckily, surgery was able to fix this last year. I felt such shame for not being able to conceive in my 20s and 30s. I thought something was wrong with me. The idea of being pregnant became so elusive to me when it seemed so easy for other women around me. I was diagnosed with severe endometriosis, a chronic condition that affects the immune system, for which there is no cure, only management. The condition can worsen over time, creating a cascade of effects and increasing inflammation in the body. I soon learned that endometrial lesions were on several of my organs and had to be excised in 2021. An unfortunate byproduct of endometriosis is loss of egg quality and a weakened immune system. I also have these lesions stuck in my uterine wall, adenomyosis, which cannot be excised with surgery as it is too dangerous.

After a very stressful process, our only option is IVF with immunological support to keep my immune cells from rejecting an embryo. In addition to banking some of my current eggs, we need to transfer my previously frozen eggs from Australia to the U.S. in order to make some embryos. We have no idea if they are viable and praying they are. If not, we plan on heading to a clinic in Europe as a last resort effort.

We desperately need funds to help us with the ever-increasing costs of IVF procedures and medical support. The pain and stress of this process are overwhelming, and we now humbly have to ask for financial help.

We want to be able to one day hold and cradle our own little bundle of joy, that will surely be a miracle child. Know that anything helps at this stage; we will be forever grateful to you from the depth of our hearts.

We have included a breakdown of the aniticipated costs that we are seeking funds for xx
