In January, 2024, my wife, Elise Bish (age 36) received results showing that she has the BRCA 1 gene mutation which greatly increases her lifetime risk of breast, ovarian, and skin cancer.

She was immediately swept into preventative screening for early detection.

 

Just weeks later, on March 1, after a slew of hospital visits and tests, she received staggering news. Elise is diagnosed with triple negative ductal carcinoma, an aggressive form of breast cancer. In a matter of weeks, our lives have been turned upside down.

 

Elise is scheduled for surgery and facing long-term treatment. We are asking for financial support for the medical expenses not covered by insurance, fertility preservation, complimentary therapies, and loss of income.
