Elisia Manuel, Three Precious Miracles

CNN Heroes 2024

Drawing from her own experience as a foster parent and adoptive mother to Native American children, Elisia Manuel started her nonprofit, Three Precious Miracles, to provide resources and supplies for Native American children and their families in need. The organization has grown to offer educational programs, trainings, and cultural events for more than 800 children and their families every year, helping them connect to their roots and embrace their identity. Manuel says that she and her husband were “forever blessed through the child welfare system,” and she has made it her mission to help build safe, positive, and culturally sensitive homes for Native American children.
