The purpose of this GoFundMe is to ensure that our precious Eliza Wilmot, a beautiful mother, wife, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend to all, can have as much time as possible to create lasting memories with her young family before she leaves this world from terminal stomach cancer, far too soon.

Eliza Wilmot is 36 and a nurse. She has two beautiful children, Jaxon (5yrs) and Ellie (2yrs). They live in Mount Martha, Victoria. Together with her loving husband, Josh, they were preparing to welcome their third child. At 20 weeks pregnant, Eliza was admitted to hospital for what she hoped was some precautionary treatment for what they thought was hyperemesis gravidarum or very bad morning sickness. Her world was then turned upside down. Over the next 48 hours, her worst possible nightmare unfolded. She was informed that she had Stage 4 stomach cancer, and she may only have a matter of weeks to live. Her unborn daughter has also now become a victim of this cruel disease. While she will never take a breath in this world, Charlie Wilmot will forever have a special place in our hearts, an angel now flying high in heaven.

In the face of anguish over the loss of Charlie, Eliza needs to fight on; every day that she sees Jaxon and Ellie grow another day older is precious. Every family laugh or hug will be cherished. Relying now on feeding tubes and about to start palliative chemotherapy, Eliza is physically weak, but she is bravely fighting – fighting for her life and her family.

Whilst Eliza would not ever want to burden anyone else by creating a page like this, we want to ensure that she’s not spending her last days worrying about money and the unexpected financial burden her diagnosis has created for her family, so she can focus on her dying wishes and creating precious memories with her beloved family and children. We are also asking for donations to help fund any possible drug trials or new treatments that may become available to her, to ensure she receives the best possible opportunities and as much time as possible with her family.
