Update
Last night August 3rd 2022 Mark passed. It is my understanding that everyone was home with him at the time. I hope we can continue to keep this family in our hearts and in our thoughts and give what we can financially to help them through this incredibly difficult time.
Hi, my name is Krystee, and I am fundraising for Elizabeth Baxter and her family.
I have been in complete awe of this family as a unit. They have always exuded so much joy and love. Every time I have ever been around them, laughter has filled the space. They have played together, worked as a family, and have faced the past nine years with an openness, love, and a level of strength I couldn't have imagined.
Nine years ago, Mark was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. After nine years of chemotherapy and a variety of treatments, cancer spread into his brain, therefore making it impossible to continue treatments.
At this time, He is in the process of transitioning.
Elizabeth has been his caregiver for most of the year, working limited hours and then having to take a complete leave in June when he started hospice and required round the clock care. Elizabeth, like myself, is a self-employed massage therapist, and has been without income as she cares for Mark.
This family has endured much and the financial hardship is more than they should have to carry now as they guide thier dedicated husband and father to the next realm.
Please give what you are able to contribute to help Elizabeth and her children cover some bills and funeral expenses. No amount is too small.
