Elizabeth 'Betsy' Squires Cancer Fundraiser
Donation protected
In April of this 2021, Betsy started feeling sick. She was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in July. Multiple Myeloma is a rare cancer that attacks plasma cells. Plasma cells are a type of white blood cell in the bone marrow. With this condition, a group of plasma cells becomes cancerous and multiplies. This disease damages her bones, immune system, kidneys, and red blood cell count. At diagnosis, 70% of her bone marrow was depleted from her body.
This condition is not curable, but it is treatable. Her recovery plan consists of at least 5 months of chemotherapy and then she will undergo a bone marrow transplant to repair what the Myeloma depleted.
Betsy's full time job right now is her recovery. To no surprise, she's exceeding job expectations, but this means no income at the moment.
Your support will go toward paying for medical bills, copays and the basics she needs for day-to-day living. Thank you in advance for your gift and positive energy toward Betsy's recovery.
