Elizabeth Cattell cremation costs and bills

On 1/30/2021, Elizabeth Cattell passed away around 10:15pm. She had been struggling with cancer for nearly a year, and gone into hospice earlier that day. She left behind family of a sister, two cats, two cousins and many friends who loved her. 

She was smart and creative. She enjoyed painting every day and writing stories for everyone who knew her. She had a unique interpretation of life. We've lost her input on things, and it's a huge loss.

While it's wonderful that she isn't in pain anymore, the problems don't stop with death. She also leaves behind many bills that need to be covered. I'm going to run down the list.


While we don't owe February rent for her, since she wasn't residing in the house anymore, she does have some back rent owed. This is the amount.


We reside in Washtenaw County, so her cremation costs are $795. We've also been told that the death certificates will clock in at $40-$50 dollars.

$217.55 is owed to make sure the internet doesn't get turned off.


Her two cats need the vet. Doc is ill and needs to be seen immediately. Mia needs the updates on all her shots.

These things need to be covered. I've rounded up to $1600 because of the fees associated with gofundme, as well as any unexpected bills that might pop in as well.

Once this is done with, her family can move on and not worry. We'd rather focus on grieving than debts. But we're going to need some help getting there.
