Elizabeth (Coleman) Green's Cremation and Son

Donation protected
With great sadness and humility, the Coleman family is asking for any assistance anyone is selflessly willing to provide with the arrangements for Elizabeth (Coleman) Green's, (also known as Liz, Mom Mom, Aunt Betty, Boop, Mamadukes and countless other titles of endearment), very near passing. Within these past few weeks, Elizabeth woke up not feeling well and was admitted to Pomona hospital, where she discovered her diagnosis of cancer of her pancreas and liver. Liz was given 3 to 4 months to live without any treatment and was discharged on July 19th. Within 3 days of returning home Betty was put on hospice. Elizabeth is the eldest girl of 11 kids and is currently being cared for by her younger sister Peggy Coleman, who has been administering full-time care and meds every 3 hours around the clock. Everyone aware of this recent diagnosis, including Betty herself, was under the impression she had a few months to make arrangements and collect her affairs, including the rehoming of her adopted son, Hassin. Very recently and tragically, Betty lost her only biological son in November 2022, which left her devastated, but having Hassin kept her getting out of bed and looking forward to a new day. Hassin is very active in baseball playing for a few different teams, including a traveling team he just tried out for and made the cut! Betty has made countless sacrifices for her loved ones but especially Hassin, whom she adores and supports his passion to one day professionally play baseball. Hassan is 13 years old and going into the 8th grade and has already picked out potential colleges where he will have the best shot at playing professionally. Upon Betty's passing, custody will be awarded to her niece Lisa Mckiernan, who will be the sole caretaker of Hassin. Betty's sudden and rapid decline lead to the family's discovery of the lack of life insurance and finances to cover her cremation and support for Hassin, specifically his fees for the traveling baseball team he was just picked to play for. Betty's cremation has been quoted at 2500$ (after a 1400$ discount was applied), and Hassin's traveling baseball team is a total fee of 2500$, leaving the total at around 5,000$. The family agreed to make an attempt to reach out to family, friends, and any philanthropic strangers through GoFundMe to hopefully help ease the financial blow of this tragic and heartbreaking situation. While Elizabeth Green is fighting tirelessly for her life she is still residing at home with loved ones constantly around her and visitors who wish to have one last moment with her. Elizabeth's wishes are to not have a funeral so there will not be a public service for her celebration of life. If this fundraiser is successful and the 5k is surpassed, any additional funds will go to Lisa Mckiernan for financial support of Hassin. If you would like to contact any member of Betty's family, please email the listed email address.
The Coleman family thanks everyone in advance for their prayers, love, support, donations and shares of this very needed fundraiser. ❤️
If you know of anyone who is not on Facebook who may want to know of Elizabeth's current situation please give them the listed email addresses. Thank you and God Bless
