Hi, my name is Allison Jennings, and I am raising money for Elizabeth Miller Lovejoy of Blowing Rock & Sugar Grove, NC. Elizabeth was severely injured in the fatal car accident that took place on HWY 321 on the morning of October 31st, 2022.

Elizabeth is married to Nicky and the mother to twin 4-year-old girls. She had just dropped her girls off at preschool when a drunk driver hit her head-on. Another victim, in a separate vehicle, did not survive. It was a horrible and preventable accident.

In the past five days:

Elizabeth has undergone several surgeries.
Her crushed kneecap has been completely reconstructed.
She has a broken left ankle and femur
Elizabeth has a crushed elbow
a broken wrist
five breaks in her back
A cracked sternum and broken ribs.

Elizabeth's family, her parents Wayne & Jenny Miller, brothers Joseph & John, and sisters Anna & Hannah (Joseph's wife), feel blessed to have Elizabeth in their lives. As I write this, Elizabeth's mom, Jenny, is celebrating her birthday at her daughter's bedside. Today, Elizabeth's brother Joseph is marrying his new bride, Hannah, in an out-of-town event that should have included his parents and sister. But the Miller family is simply thankful she is alive.

Elizabeth will have a very long road to recovery. She is at the hospital in Winston-Salem and will move to the rehab center in Winston soon but will remain there for at least six weeks.

The family hopes to have her home by Christmas.

I am raising funds today to support Elizabeth's medical bills and tremendous loss of income.

This young mother of two will not be able to work for an unknown amount of time. Her husband has also lost income because he spends every night by his wife's bedside.
